Rainbolt enters his first year as assistant women’s basketball coach. His primary responsibilities include recruiting, video scouting and on-floor coaching.  

 

A native of Sweetwater, Rainbolt comes to McMurry from Wayland Baptist, where he was the recruiting coordinator and posts coach for the 2007-08 Flying Queens squad.

 

Prior to his stint at Wayland Baptist, Rainbolt served as the graduate assistant coach for Hardin-Simmons’ 2006-07 women’s basketball team. He was also an assistant basketball coach at Trinity Christian High School in Lubbock from 2003-06, where he was a part of two TAPPS 4A girls state championship teams (2004 and 2005). 

 

Rainbolt received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech in 2005 and recently completed a Master’s degree in sports and recreation management from Hardin-Simmons last May.

 

He and his wife, Audra, have one daughter, Bailey Kate, born last October.
