Greg Harrod
Football Operations Director/Assistant Track & Field Coach

Entering his first season at McMurry as the director of football operations, Greg Harrod plays an integral role in the McMurry football program.   His duties include event scheduling, recruiting logistics and team travel accommodations.  In addition, Harrod serves as Coach Hal Mumme’s “right-hand man,” and is responsible for maintaining Coach Mumme’s schedule.  An avid runner, Harrod will also assist Coach Barbara Crousen's McMurry track & field teams in the spring. 

Prior to coming to McMurry, Harrod was the director of football operations at New Mexico State University.  Before NMSU, he served as compliance coordinator at Southeastern Louisiana University from 2000-07.  Harrod has also worked as the assistant to the dean for athletic affairs at the University of New Orleans; the administrative assistant in the office of compliance and academic services at Northwestern State University (Louisiana); and assistant track & field coach at Springfield College (Massachusetts). 

Harrod earned a B.S. in psychology ('90) from Pittsburg State University, while competing in track & field and earning NAIA Track and Field National Championship status and All-American honors.  He earned a Masters degree in counseling/athletic counseling ('92) from Springfield College, and in 2001, he earned a second Masters degree from the University of New Orleans in Business Administration.
