The information in the enclosed manual has been compiled for your convenience. It is intended for the teams, college officials, and accompanying media in preparation for the tournament.
This manual is intended to serve as a supplement to, not a substitute for, the 2008 NCAA Division III Regional Handbook. That publication remains the primary source for policy information.

Transportation
Abilene Regional Airport serves the Abilene area. Service is provided by American Eagle (American Airlines) and Colgan Airlines (Continental Airlines). Other airports serving the area are Dallas Fort Worth International, Midland International and Lubbock International.
Lodging
All teams will be assigned hotels by the tournament director and will be required to stay at that hotel. The following hotels will be used for the tournament. Each Team will have 15 rooms reserved for team use. Additional rooms for parents may be available on a first come first serve basis.

Barbeque
There will be a complimentary Barbeque to be held at Prime Time Family Entertainment Center located at 4541 loop 322 on Tuesday May 13th between the hours of 5:15 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. It will be a come and go as you please event but attendance is required. There will be no formal program only a buffet style meal.
Pre-Tournament Meeting
The pre-tournament meeting for Coaches (Head Coach Required), SID’s and Trainers will be held at Prime Time Family Entertainment Center at 7:15 P.M. on Tuesday May 13th.
Post Game Interview
Coaches are reminded of the NCAA policy regarding post-game interviews, which stipulate that you are obligated to the entire representative media covering the tournament. There will be a 10 minute cooling off period following each game, a designated area will be provided for interviews, distribution of statistics, etc. This includes speaking with your local radio affiliates, interviews cannot take place between radio personnel and coaches/players until the 10-minute cooling period has occurred.
Ticket Prices
All Tickets are General admission:
Day Game Tickets: $6.00
Student Day Game: $4.00
There will be no tournament passes, tickets must be purchased daily, but the tickets are good for ANY game on that given day.
Courtesy Cars
Courtesy vehicles will be provided for Umpires and Head Coaches during their stay in Abilene. The Umpires will be provided with two vehicles and each Head Coach will be provided a vehicle. The vehicles will be available at the airport if you are flying in and at your hotel should you be arriving via van or charter bus. Any questions regarding your vehicles should be directed to Greeley Myers. His numbers are listed in the personnel section of this manual.

Teams will be assigned practice times by tournament director. All practices (weather permitting) will be on the game field at McMurry University. Warm up will be on the practice field directly adjacent to the stadium.

The Rawlings R1 NCAA baseball will be used for championship play.
Souvenir Merchandise
A variety of NCAA Baseball Championship souvenir merchandise will be on sale at the stadium.
Athletic Training Information
A Certified Athletic Trainer will be available during practices on Tuesday and throughout the competition. EMT’s will be on call minutes away during all games. Team physicians from McMurry will be on call during the week of competition. For teams traveling without a Certified Trainer, a physician’s note or a note from the Head Athletic Trainer will be required for the use of any electrical modality or for other special medical needs. Staff from McMurry will be happy to assist all teams and their medical needs. Ice, water and cups will be provided. Schools are to provide their own supplies for needs such as taping. Hendrick Medical Center located at 1900 Pine Street (325)670-2000 and Abilene Regional Medical Center located at 6250 Hwy 83/84 and Antilly Road (325) 428-1000 are just minutes from the field. Credentials
Each team will receive participant passes at the pre-tournament meeting. There will be no complimentary admission as per NCAA guidelines.
Awards
The head Coach will be given the awards for each participant following the game in which they are eliminated.
